STAMPEDE
Treating patients with advanced prostate cancer
The STAMPEDE Trial is looking at the effect of adding new or different treatments to the standard way in which prostate cancer is managed. The standard treatment for prostate cancer involves hormone treatment and may also include chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy. STAMPEDE opened in 2005 and has already provided answers for a number of therapies and has changed the standard of care for men being treated with advanced prostate cancer. It recruits patients in the UK and Switzerland.
