CTU paper shortlisted for Paper of the Year
24 Jun 2014
The main results paper from the DART study ‘Routine versus clinically driven laboratory monitoring of antiretroviral therapy in Africa (DART): a randomised non-inferiority trial,’ has been nominated for The Lancet Paper of the Year 2009.
The eight publications shortlisted have been nominated by readers of The Lancet, and are those judged most likely to change medical thinking, health research, or clinical practice. The findings of the DART trial were that a third more people could be successfully treated for HIV in Africa if expensive lab tests, routinely used for monitoring side effects, are abandoned.
You can read all of the shortlisted papers and vote for which one you think should win on The Lancet website. Voting closes on the 11th February and the winner will be announced on the 20th February.
