CASCADE brochure now available to download

A brochure outlining some of the many research highlights of the CTU-coordinated CASCADE project is now available to download.

CASCADE was established in 1997 with funding from the European Commission, and is a collaboration between the investigators of 26 cohorts of people with well-estimated dates of HIV infection, known as seroconverters.

The CASCADE network of researchers and clinicians is made up of HIV institutions in 15 European countries, Australia and Canada as well as Sub-Saharan Africa.

Follow-up data from seroconverters are valuable in being able to allow us to relate events to the same time since an individual first became infected with HIV. These people thus provide a unique opportunity to study HIV throughout its whole infection period, enabling researchers to examine the characteristics of recently-acquired HIV infection in the population over time.

The CASCADE brochure showcases just some of the many research achievements of CASCADE during the recent funding term 2006/2010.
